Binding note15th c. Gothic full leather binding. Blind tooled brown tanned skin. Leather damaged, wooden boards visible especially on the margins and corners. Blemishes, scars and stains. Spine detached but preserved with the volume, label at the top: “D. Thomae Aqv. Summa Theol” and a 14 added under. Another label pasted directly on the spine: “6. E. 14” Two decorated catch-plates still in place, part of one strap preserved, one lost.

Decoration Notef. a1r: foliated initial “Q” of “Quia sicut” (15 lines) in purple with white ombres. Pink infill with yellow decorations made with a fine paintbrush. Sited on a gold background. The tongue of “Q” extends up and down the page, containing vegetal motifs in a combination of pink and green with small circular yellow details.
Two pages were cut out before f. a1r. Someone started to detach this page too but stopped.
