Binding note15th century Gothic full leather binding. Blind stamped brown tanned skin. Binding in very good condition. Minor blemishes on the front board, right hand corner. A new piece of leather added on the back board, decorated in a different style. The new addition does not cover the entire surface perfectly, living exposed the section adjacent to the spine. 4 embossed brass corner pieces put in place to hold the new piece of leather (not present on the front board). Spine split near the front board and slightly damaged at the top and bottom. Undecorated with two labels: “Casus consciinciis” and a shelfmark “6. I. 8”

NoteDespite showing only minor damages, the top and bottom of f. a2r were reinforced with modern paper, hence covering the provenance note written in the lower margin. Marks left by a pen are visible on the verso, but are not enough to read the text. This empty space usually hosts an inscription from the Jesuit College (“Collegii Societatis Jesu Claudiopolitanis”), which, presumably, is the case here as well.
