Beschreibung des Einbands15th-century Gothic full leather binding. Blind-stamped brown tanned skin. The spine displays three labels from different time periods: the first one is the title of the book, the second one reads “134” followed by “7. D. 5”.
The leather covering the spine is partially detached. The remaining material carries a rose/flower motif with miscellaneous patterns around.
The boards (and the leaves) are damaged by powderpost beetles. The model is no longer visible in some parts of the front cover. Only a quarter of the back board is still in place; the leather is partly detached, and the remaining pieces are in bad condition. Catch-plates, clasp-plates and straps missing.
The front cover displays a main frame with rich vegetation; a middle frame with heraldic motifs: two-headed eagles lying in a circle (6, each 18mm), and an unidentified motif in a rhombus (2, each 23x30mm). The central panel with a geometric tessellation with rhombuses. Back board decorated in a similar manner.
