Copy Features - NoteVisible pinholes. Manuscript stripes reused in the binding visible between the pages. Some of correction marks on the margins in the second part of the book also painted in yellow. In the end one leaf of manuscript in French on parchment bound together with the print. Maybe took out from the original binding during the conservation in the 20th c., text hardly visible, parts of the text erased, covered with remnants of paint and/or glue. Last leaf [359] printed on the different, thicker paper - looks more contemporary than the rest of the print, has different watermark than rest of the book and different than endpapers.

Binding noteWooden board, brownish calf leather, blind tooled (linear tooling, 6 tools), flat spine, sewn in 4 double cords and 2 single, parchment manuscript used as a reinforcement strip, traces of 4 round corner metal fittings and one central, 4 buckles (attachment preserved of straps on the front cover), Italy, 15th/16th century. Identical decoration on both covers: in the centre field, a composition of 5 incomplete circles with a punched interlace in the middle and an orle created from multiple impressions of small stars, at the top and at the bottom of the central panel, tasselled impressions of small crosses and stars, a border made of multiple impressions of a tool with a curling plant and 6-petal rosette. At the back cover a protective parchment sheet, previously used as endpaper for one of the covers; contains on one side Latin handwriting from beginning of the 15th century, on the other side, a washed out manuscript in an undetermined language (end of the 15th century?). Binding reconstructed in the 18th/19th century: new leather on spine new endpapers and protective sheets.
