Besonderheiten des ExemplarsTwo separate volumes. Tabula bound before parts I-II in the first volume. Wanting a1-a2, r6, a1 from pt. I, AA1 and V6 (after Qqq6) of pt. II, A1 and k6 (blank) in pt. III, a1 and S6 in pt. IV. Traces of mould at the top of pages, water damage. No marginal notes. Leaves are very white, maybe volume was washed in the 18th/19th century or before selling to the antiquarian shop (what could explain also the removal of ex-libris).

Beschreibung des EinbandsBoth volumes bound in the identical bindings by anonymous binder in the 15th/16th c. Brown leather over wooden boards. Upper cover of the first volume (libri I-II) loose. Both covers tooled in blind - quadruple frame made with fillets, in the central part merrythought tool with floral motif inside each compartment. Two inner frames filled with rolls with different floral motifs, outer frame filled with rosette stamps with flower inside (with two rows of petals - 5 and 10 petals each). In the corners coat-of-arms-shaped stamps with two-headed bird (eagle?) inside. Rests of gothic clasps. Traces (holes, nails) left by centre pieces on both covers. Spine tooled in blind with delicate floral motifs. Title and author's name tooled in blind and gold on the recto of left cover.

Floral decoration painted in green, pink and blue, illuminated. On a5 verso floral decoration painted in red and blue, gilded initial "C" on blue background on the same page ; on a7 recto floral decoration in blue-pink-green-yellow, gilded initial "V" on the blue background. In pt. II on Aa2 recto and verso illuminated floral decoration painted in green, yellow, red, purple and orange. On Aa2 recto a gilded initial "S" - a yellow letter on a gold background in a purple and green segmented frame, on Aa2 verso a smaller gilded initial "C". In pt. III: on A2 recto illuminated initial "D" - letter painted in orange and yellow on gold background, filled in blue with white decoration, in green and white segmented frame.
