mainly textual keywords: on m6r Inferno canto XVIIII 'papa Bonifazio' next to the text; On q2v 'fui homo d'arme' from the text; on q5r 'Macumet' from the text. Paradiso canto XVI in the commentary the words 'madre matrigna' are underlined and in the margin added 'della chiesa'. Extraction and calculations of years on o7r, dd7r, and I4r.
Other hand, possibly later, on o5v, and aaa3r (extractions of keywords from commentary).

Notepencil inscription from unidentified sale: “500 francs 1908”. This could be either French or Italian.
19th-century engravings by Gian Giacomo Machiavelli (1750–1811) from La Divina commedia (Bologna: Gamberini e Parmeggiani, 1821) added: leaf l1r “G.G.M. F.1807” and cc2r (image), cc6r (image), dd1v (image), glue stains on dd6v (perhaps these engravings partially fell out from some of Inferno?), gg7v (image), hh5v (image), large litho bound in after leaf D6v.
Binding note19th-century blind stiff parchment over paper boards with red-tooled decoration. Marbled paper pastedowns and endleaves, with plain paper endleaves. Stuck-on endbands. Plain edges.
