Binding noteBinding: Scotland, 19th-century vellum-covered boards; title label missing from spine; sprinkled blue and red-edged leaves; binder's stamp on front pastedown "Maclehose, Glasgow". Size: 284 x 207 mm.
Manuscript notesAnnotations: occasional 16th-century marginal annotations in various hands, some in faded red ink, others in black ink; occasional underlining in both faded red and black ink; very occasional pointing hands and "nota" marks; marginal diagram on m3v; deleted inscription on m6r; topic headings supplied intermittently in top margin; possible 16th-century owners' names (unread) on g3r and on v1r; pen-trials of letters of the alphabet on 2c6v; mottoes in a 17th-century hand on a2r "In no[m]i[n]e tuo laxabo rete meu[m]" and "Spes mea Jhesus"; 19th-century number "272/4" in pencil on a2r (probably a binder's job number).
