copyFeaturesNoteInc. 145 is Tomus IV pars I (226 pp.) of the Opera and Inc. 454 is Tomus IV pars II (294 pp.) of the Opera. Initially, only Inc. 145 was on loan from the Fontein Collection to the University Library Amsterdam in 1919, and it was not until 1975 that all the volumes were sold to the University Library Amsterdam, so that the edition was complete again. This explains the difference in signatures.

NoteIn 1919, a large part of Fontein's books, including only tomus IV(/I) (Inc. 145) of the Opera-edition, were given on loan to the University Library Amsterdam. In 1975, all the volumes of the Opera-edition were sold to the University Library Amsterdam.

On first front endleaf of every volume a stamp with the text ‘afgeschreven BIBL. DOOPSG. GEM. A’DAM d.d. (with ink:) 15-5-75’. In the Amsterdam City Archives we find the purchase correspondence between the University Library Amsterdam and the Church council of the Mennonite Church Amsterdam.
