Handwritten ex-libris on the first back cover: signature "Gower" (in use between 1803 and 1833), followed by the mention "Florence 1816" and a bibliographic description taken from "Bibliographie instructive, ou Traité de la connoissance des livres rares et singuliers du librairie et bibliographe parisien Guillaume-François Debure" (Paris, Debure, 1765, tome I, p. 622-623).
