Copy Features - NoteIncomplete copy: lacking signatures a-b (except leaf b6), signature C, leaves 1.1-7, *2 (which is a blank leaf), and all after 49.4. Leaves b6, 28.1 and 49.2-4 imperfect and mounted, with some loss of text (particularly leaf 28.1, loss only minor for leaves 49.2-4).
Tipped in, cutting from a bookseller's catalogue, entry number 267, which identifies this copy as number 33 in De Ricci's census; a note in a 20th century hand regarding "the crude state of Arabic numerals in this printing" (possibly the hand of librarian John Sampson - there is a second note in this hand on a front endpaper, stating that this is no.33 in the De Ricci census); cutting from a newspaper article regarding the purchase of a copy of the Polychronicon purchased by Thomas Thorp in 1944.|
