Binding noteBound in the 16th century, probably by Danzig bookbinder, in brown leather tooled in blind over wooden boards. Right cover with a central rectangular panel filled with a merrythought tool. Pomegranate fruit inside every compartment. Left cover with central rectangular panel filled with lozenge-shaped compartments with human figures inside (Schunke pp. 202, no 35a, attributes them to so-called Art Danzig Drachenbuchbinder III). Trippe frames made with fillets, outer frames of both covers filled up with different floral motifs made with rolls. Rests of clasps with rosettes and acanthus leaves (identified by Adler as "Rosette mit Akanthusblattern und Steigbugel", pp. 94, Abb. 5-35). The spine restored, probably in the 18th/19th c. Edges coloured in yellow.
