Binding noteBound in the 16th c. in dark brown leather tooled in blind over wooden boards. Binding probably of German or Polish provenance. On the left cover in the central compartment there is a big (700x700 mm) 'rotating' rosette with 28 cords crowned with small lillies. The central point of the rosette has christogram IHS inside the circle. The rosette placed in octagon tooled in blind, surrounded with multiple frames. The smaller rectangular panels under and above the rosette filled with pomegranade fruit motifs. The central rectangular panel of right cover filled with small lozenge-shaped tool with lillies inside. Damaged - missing leather on the spine, missing part of wooden board in the inner corner of both covers. One whole clasp preserved, rests of the second clasp. Manuscript titling on the tail-edge.
