Binding noteBound in alum-tawed skin over laced-in boards with a beveled edge at spine; blind tooled with triple fillet around edges and around two concentric panels, with stamps of heraldic one-headed eagle, lion passant, and branch, with evidence of two clasps (only lower catchplate remains), spine with three raised bands, sewn on double cords. MS ink notations on front cover and head and fore edge of the textblock, paper label with black printing ink and manuscript ink on lowermost spine panel. Pastedowns appear to be print waste or proof sheets, with text-side pasted to boards.
