Binding noteNon-contemporary binding of brown marbled leather, housed in brown goatskin pull-off box signed Riviere & Son; The covers, bordered with double gold lines, have a blind embossed centerpiece decoration, with centers lettered in gold; board edges and spine gold-tooled; marbled endpapers. The text appears to have been washed before rebinding; dark stains on fore-edges of first and final text pages have been reinforced with thin repair paper.
