msNoteFolio S2r and the beginning of folio S2v have been crossed out; on the upper margin manuscrip note written by an anonymous hand in Latin in dark brown ink: 'Vide [?] huis Commenti | explosione notas | Panuinij nostri ad | Vitas Pont. Platina | huxe n hic Au- | thor est [?]'. In the text below, occasional corrections by the same hand. Probably, the reader wanted to clarify the history explained in this part of the book. The reference is to Onuphrius Panvinius (1529–1568), Italian historian and librarian to Cardinal Alessandro Farnese, who produced a revised edition of Platina's Lives of the Popes.
