Manuscript notesFaded MS. notes in brown ink in Italian in several hands, barely legible, some trimmed. Mostly seem to be brief notes concerning the text. L8v, entire page covered with early MS notes, faded and unread.
One reader seems particularly interested in the geography of the world described in the commentary to Inf.XIV: MS. notes in the same hand on i4r, k3r by commentary on the island of Crete, k3v small diagram of the three parts of the world and MS. note “Asia: Africa & Europa”.
Reading marks: cross symbols in margins; vertical lines, e.g. d6r by final five terzine of Inf.IV; some manicules, e.g. f3v.
Rudimentary drawings in brown ink, likely by a child: H3r (abstract image flanked by a flying creature and a human figure), H8r (several animals), I5r (copying the content of the woodcut on that page).
