Binding noteContemporary brown blind-tooled goatskin over wooden boards with metal furniture. Three metal cornerpieces survive on the upper board, and on the lower board all four cornerpieces and centrepiece. Two intact leather straps with metal clasps attached to the upper board, two acanthus leaf-shaped catches on the lower board, one slightly damaged. Evidence of further two clasps on head and tail of both boards. Later rectangular paper label with shelfmark and publication date, "1484 | No 79" affixed to head of spine.

Decoration NoteIlluminated initial "P" on a2r in pink, green, and blue with gold leaf in a floral design. Page header decorated, with a thin green column extending down the gutter towards the lower margin. On lower margin a coat of arms flanked by the initials "B D" and floral decoration. Manuscript notesMS. note in brown ink on p1r, illegible. MS. notes on upper pastedown and first front flyleaf: alphabet written out in three different scripts. Written twice in two different hands: "alissandre maistre didare a felipe v[ost]ra richota de bove", and below, signatures [?] of "Jachomo Antonio" and "franca sch[?]". On A8v one word, illegible. On final flyleaf recto: "Carissime mio barba ant[?] io ve[r]am[en]te come io some sane per la grazia del dio ma spero che anche vo[i?] siate a simile vostr[?] S." (northern Italy? Appears to be the salutation of a letter to a family member). On final flyleaf verso and lower pastedown: pen trials and squiggles, mathematical sum, and MS. inscription: "Semaie queste mio[?] liber [?]ra[?] se perdes[e?] | che [?]tila man[?] dal d[?] [?]ur [?]".
