PML copy with fragmentary red wax seal (2.5 x 4 cm) of Innocent VIII attached to vellum strip at bottom of indulgence. A similar fragmentary seal is on the copy of this indulgence now in the Toshiyuki Takamiya collection in Tokyo, see Christie's, 9 Dec. 1981, lot 207.
Hand decoration: Rubrication not required.
Annotations: Indulgence filled in, purchased by Magister Ricardus Hopton sacre theologie professor...decimo septi[m]o...julii. Early 18th-century inscription on verso: a Disensacion by [th]e Popes Authority for [th]e Remission of Sinnes.
