“Catalogue of a selected portion of the renowned library at Wilton House, Salisbury ... 25-26 June 1914”, lot 60.
Binding noteEnglish 18th-century red morocco or sheep, sewn on six supports. Covers with gilt roll frame, ornaments inside corners, an additional roll near spine; board edges with gold ornamental rolls; marbled endleaves. Spine with compartments ornamented in gold; gilt-stamped black leather title label: “CICERO | EP: BRUT: &c. | MAXIM: | ROM: 1470”; edges gilt. In a later two-part case signed "Made by Riviere & Son".
