Binding noteEarly 18th century venetian binding; calfskin over wooden boards, richly blind-tooled boards and spine. Probably bound while in the possession of Giacomo Soranzo. Quite damaged: several wormholes and portions of calfskin missing on the spine, front board detached.

Label pasted against the front pastedown and on the spine. Cartouche in the top half carrying the text: Bibliotheca Casanatensis Romae ; a tower (Casanate's heraldic figure) in the bottom half.

Manuscript notesManuscript notes in pencil, written by the librarians of the Casanatense, shortly describing the edition and informing about the missing folios.
StampsOval stamp in black ink on [a4r] (first folio): coat of arms of cardinal Casanate in the bottom half (a tower surmounted by a star) and of the Dominicans in the top half (a dog carrying a torch, surmounted by a star). Text running along the frame, starting at the top: ‘Bibliothe. A Card. H. Casan. D. O. Praed.’. Stamped before 1884.
Smaller stamp in the gutter of [c9r] (fol. 28r, according to the foliation in pencil): a tower surmounted by a Marian star, and the initials H. C. C. (standing for Hieronymus Casanate Cardinalis). Stamped after 1884.
