Annotations manuscrites
Description de la reliureThe foliation by a 16th-century hand in brown ink on the top right corner of each recto, which goes from '42' to '109' (leaf i7 is not numbered), suggests that the book might have been part of a Sammelband. The foliation also takes into account the leaves that are now missing.
Notes manuscritesAn Italian 16th-century annotator writing in a small cursive script in brown ink is responsible for an extensive note on the left margin of a4v and for the transcription of a Latin proverb on the right margin of a7r: 'Ad presens ova cras pullis sunt meli[ora]', which translates the moral of the fable 'De cane gerente carnem' ('Non lassar mai lo certo per lo incerto | Se non che del tuo proprio sie deserto'). A series of manicules and reading marks throughout the book and the foliation in the top right corner of each leaf (see above the note on binding) seem to be by the same individual.
Some sketches and pen trials by a different hand, possibly by a young reader from the same period, in dark ink, on leaves c1v; c5v; c8v; d1r.
