Binding noteBrown calf over pasteboard. Blind tooled in a diaper design typical of English binding in the late 15th century. The central panel divided by three-line fillets into diamond shaped compartments in which various stamps circular and square have been inset. In each corner of the diamonds is a tiny trefoil stamp. Various other very small stamps are used in the border running around the edge of the boards. Remains of clasps. Titled on the upper board in black ink in an early hand. Later red morocco spine label tooled in gold.
