NoteOn the bottom right end corner of many leaves there is an abbreviated b, as sometimes found followed by Augustini (See Marciana Membr. 0005, another copy on vellum of a set of the Corpus iuris Canonici printed by Jenson) and interpreted as a copy commissioned to Nicolas Jenson by Bartolomeo Agostini (L. Armstrong, The Agostini Plutarch, in Studies 2003 p. 231). In this copy, also 'Johan. Gall.' (quire x).

Decoration Note'On a2 is painted a head-piece representing Gratian offering his book to the Pope, surmounted by a shield with a coat of arms; two historiated capitals on the same page illuminated in gold and colours. Chief capitals supplied in gold and colours, other capitals in two colours, in red or in blue; paragraph-marks in alternate red and blue.' (BMC).
