Manuscript notesNotes by J. Visser on front endleaf [IV] v, with bibliographical information concerning the edition. Front endleaves [III] and [IV] are of a different paper (watermark: 18th-century arms of a large chevron over a wheat garb) than front endleaf [I] and the rear endleaf. Although the binding probably dates from after the book entered the KB, the existing leaves with Visser's note were retained in the later binding.

Binding noteHalf leather binding with marbled paper on both boards, gold-tooled decoration on the spine as well as a red leather onlay with the author and title of the volume, the printer and place of publication gold-tooled at the bottom of the spine. Front: pastedown and four endleaves; rear: pastedown and a single endleaf. At the fore-edge a square has been cut out of the front endleaves. Edges speckled blue. The tooling on the spine is partly the same as volumes that were certainly (re)bound after they entered the KB (e.g. https://data.cerl.org/mei/02101812).
