Bibliographic Evidence
NoteThis book was acquired in 1828 from the Tongerlo abbey collection. See: G. van Thienen: 'Incunabula from the abbey at Tongerlo, The provenance of part of the collection of incunables in the Koninklijke Bibliotheek'. In: Hellinga Festschrift. Amsterdam, 1980, p. 481-492.

Several inscriptions on A1r, dating from the late 15th-early 16th century to 1709:
-At the top of the page in a late fifteenth/early sixteenth century Gothic hand: Olim me possedit d(omi)n(u)s marc(us) bartholomei felicis r(e)cordationis post eu(m) walter(us) arnoldi pr(es)b(ite)r nu(n)c aut(em) fr(ater) Joha(n)nes rumoldi r(e)ligiosus in to(n)gerloe qui r(e)finat amii suu(m) lectionib(us) contentur et oret pro utroq(ue) possessore.
-Underneath in different hands: ff Cor(.) Geldolphi pastor in parvozundert; f(rater) Justus Anthony Bruxellensis; F(rater) Adeod(ati) Wijnants 1672 23 Martii; f(rater) Henricus Heestermans Tilburgensis 1702; f(rater) Hieronimi Smittens rel. tongerl. 1709.

The book was brought to Tongerlo by frater Johannes Rumoldus. All of the following inscribers were fraters from the Tongerlo abbey, but it is not certain whether the inscriptions were written in Tongerlo abbey, as many of them worked and lived (temporarily) in other places as parish vicar (for more information on this, see the respective records in Owners of Incunabula), and the book might have travelled with them.
