Binding noteOld pigskin, stamped with the arms of the Monastery of S. Michael at Metten (BMC).
Descriptions and images in the British Library Database of Bookbindings (search for IC22666). A shield with the St Michael archangel is blind-tooled on the back cover. On the front-cover, same position, a schield with a coat of arm of (possibly) the Abbot. Marks of clasps on the fore-edge.
