Copy Features - NoteConsists of leaves k3-6, l-o^8.6, p1-4 only (i.e., lacks a1-k2 and p5-q8). The signature "k iij" on leaf k3r (the first leaf present) has been erased, perhaps in a vain attempt to disguise the imperfect nature of the copy. Mounted on front free endleaf 3v, facing the first leaf of text, is a clipped copy of a portrait of Aesop very similar to the one printed in this edition, but not from the same block; incorrectly identified by an owner's pencil note as that found in the 1486 edition of Aesop printed by Gerard Leeu in Antwerp; the actual source has not been identified.
