Binding noteThis style of plain vellum binding, with a red and green label on the spine, is called by the Library’s specialist Maria Rosaria Grizzuti ‘legatura borbonica’, i.e. belonging to the Royal Bourbon Collection, and it was made at some point in the first half of the 19th c., when the Bourbons financed a plan to rebind a selection of books from the Royal Collection.
