msNoteThere are numerous textual corrections in black ink. All of these corrections are concerned with differences between the text of this edition and the 1462 Fust and Schoeffer Bible, and evidently this volume was corrected side-by-side against a copy of the earlier edition. There are a few marginal references to the liturgical calendar. These, along with several passages marked in the margin with a pattern of three dots, suggest that this volume was used for reading aloud, perhaps in a refectory.
