Manuscript notesOn title-page, a cursive late humanistic handwriting, in light brown ink (partially faded) adds reference to the sections of the volume. Notes by the same hand are in a3r. All the leaves are numbered, possibly by the same person, but in dark brown ink, still perfectly readable.

NoteThe copy is dewscribed in both in Smith's catalogues of incunabula (1724, nr 110; 1737, nr 115) and in the Bibliotheca Smithiana (Venice: 1755; Vol. I, p. CCXXXV). Also, the name of Smith opens the list of reference works written on the flyleaf by the librarians of the king (see below).

noteThe Royal coat of arms, with the Initials of the King (G R III) is gold tooled on the cover. A list of reference works (opened by the name of Smith) is on the upper right corner of the third front flyleaf, by two hands. The latest hand also wrote, in pencil, a reference to the classified catalogue of the king (V7p100).

noteOn the verso of the front flyleaf, in pencil, '8C3' a previous shelfmark of the King's Library. A subsequent shelfmark, crossed out, on the title-page (162.d.21). The current shelfmark in on the verso of the third front flyleaf, right above a note on the descritpion of the work ('The whole work treated as one work and not as separate tract'). Oval stamps of the British Museum with reference to the George III Library (in use not before 1842: Harris 2009, p. 412), in dark orange ink, on title-page, on the verso of the last two printed leaves.
