This volume comprises two of eight parts of an edition of Bartolus's works completed between 30 July, 1481, and 6 July, 1482. Without the last blank of part i. Rubrication to the first page of quire D in part i, early foliation in red in both parts. From the libraries of Dr. Georg Kloss, with his book-label and bibliographical note, and of Sir William Bolland (1840). Sixteenth-century German pigskin. Bought in October, 1879 (BMC).

NoteInitials, numbering of leaves and of internal sections (books) all in red, made possibly by the same hand who wrote several notes, along with very peculiar ponting-hands and marks (human profiles very similar to grotesques are the completion of paragraphs). The handwriting is a cursive, most likely by a German.
Binding notePigskin, blind-tooled; the decoration is characterized by frames which include medaillons with profiles of classical authors, whose names are given below each medallion.
