(hand 2) 'Hic viguit episcopus pentapoleos sub Theodosio Cesare ut liguet(?) in epistola q[...] Andronicum ad episcopos. An'. Plus some pen trials near the main text. Foliation in light brown ink on the first 21 leaves.

Manuscript notesVarious notations in greek throughout the text, mainly in the II part (which comes first), but also at the beginning of the first part (bound as second). At least three 16th century hands: light brown ink, black ink and light brown ink (wider characters). In particular on part II, [alpha1r], light brown ink, in greek: 'Tropos esth' ho peithōn tou legontos, ou logos' [Menander, Fragment 407.7].

Binding note17th century possibly English binding, brown calf over wooden boards; rebacked; 5 raised bands on spine; concentric blind-tooled frame design with corner devices and decorative stamp along outer edges of inner frame; centrepiece; double blind fillets around board edges; text-block edges sprinkled red; evidence of chaining at both top and bottom outer edges of upper board. An hardly distinguisheable letter (possibly 'P') written in brown ink along the side edge; might be just a pen trial.
