Binding noteQuarter 16th-century blind-stamped pigskin and wooden boards; brass clasp, latch on front cover; chain holes on back cover; fragment of MS paper label on spine; vellum leaves of a 15/16th-century MS Latin document used as pastedowns inside covers. Earlier wrapped in paper, with remnants glued to pigskin and tabs inside boards. Ms. spine linings extend far onto boards and are visible under the endleaves, which are loose.
