Provenance 1501 - 1600

Time period1501 - 1600
Provenance TypeInscription
NoteOn the titlepage, in black ink: notes in Latin by a 16th century hand, possibly Italian. The notes probably refer to the Psalms to be used for the Nocturnus office: 'Nocturnus: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8' and to the position of Psalm 39 (38): 'f. 33 Dixi custodiam'. Below this first inscription, a second one, in Greek, though presumably in the same hand, also presumably relating to the Psalms: 'ο μονη' [?] and 'νυν απολυεις' ['Nunc dimittis'].
