Binding noteContemporary boards, rebacked (at Harvard) in modern half brown morocco; brass clasp plates on back cover, latches on front, clasps and thongs gone. Vellum spine linings of ms. or engraved title page to a thesis defense ("Praeses" is visible on one strip); these perhaps are from an earlier rebacking, as they appear to be 18th-19th century. Remains of early printed waste on rear board (from an early pastedown).
