First leaf of text, i.e leaf [a2], with caption in cursive hand and decoration on recto that differs from the rest of the book [puzzle decoration of initial "I" only partially drawn, paragraph marks and highlighting of printed capitals all supplied by hand in dark purple, late 15th century], and therefore possibly from a different copy of the edition.
Variant: the caption in capitals to table of contents on leaf [z1] recto reads "[I]ncipit hic tabula que/tionum [sic]", with missing "S" supplied by hand after "QVE" of "questionum", Italy, Rome [?], late 15th century.
Lower margin of gathering [z] cut away.

Beschreibung des EinbandsBlind-tooled brown sheepskin over wooden [beech ?] boards, sewn over four double-split alum-tawed skin bands, head- and tailbands sewn on brown leather in herringbone pattern, with four pairs of star-shape nails securing the stubs of four missing fastening leather straps and clasps at the three outer edges of the upper board, and marks of four corresponding foliate-shape catches at the three outer edges of the lower board, Italy, 1470s-1480s; manuscript title 'consilia oldradi de laude' and shelfmark [?] 'B 8 [?]' on upper board, Italy, late 15th [?] century; manuscript title 'Oldradi / de laude / consilia / Romae / Adam Rot / 1472' on paper slip pasted onto upper spine compartment, Italy [?], 18th century.
