NoteInscribed 'Bartholomeus Veldpacher / Canonic[us] in Matickhopfe[n] / A[nno] d[omini] .1.5.28.' on leaf r7 verso, identifiable with Bartholomaeus Veldpacher, Augustinian Canon at Mattighofen, Austria, 1528. Inscribed 'Mathie Wenelij' on leaf [a1] verso, Austria [?], 16th century, unidentified. Inscribed 'Monasterij Ranshouen' on leaf [a1] verso, late 16th or early 17th century, identifiable with the Augustinian Monastery of S. Pancratius in Ranshofen / Ranshoven, nr. Braunau am Inn, Upper Austria, founded in 1125 and dissolved in 1811, whose library was transferred en bloc to Munich. Marked 'Pdh/n' in pencil on leaf [a1] recto. Inscribed 'James Pollock / 1881' on leaf [a1] recto, identifiable with James Samuel Pollock of Trinity College, Dublin. Lot 239 in an unidentified sale. Bought of the Cambridge bookseller G. David on 19 December 1913.
