NoteLower pastedown inscribed (seventeenth century?): 'Carolus Schampaert [monogram]'. On front free end paper 'No 2 A:D: Vorster 25 dec: 1727'. On a1 recto, washed out: '[...] van [...] possessor [...]'. Bought via [William] Boone at the sale of Jean de Meyer (Ghent, November 1869), lot 509, using money from the Rustat Fund. Decoration: Capital strokes, paragraph marks and initials supplied in red; first initial with reserved decoration.
Binding noteLate seventeeth- or early eighteenth-century Dutch sprinkled calf; five raised bands; gold tooled back.
