Front endpaper inscribed 'To John [Ehrman], a present for presenting us with a grandson, William.  [From] Mummy & Daddy [i.e. Albert Ehrman], Sept. [19]50.'  Presented by John Ehrman, through the Friends of the National Libraries, in April 1977."
