Binding noteBlind-tooled brown calf over wooden boards, with tools including the symbols of the evangelists and a crown set between the initials W[iennenses] and P[raedicatores], sewn over three double split spine bands, with decorated brass catches at fore-edge of upper board [wanting lower], fastening straps and decorated brass clasps at fore-edge of lower board [wanting lower], and with traces of centre- and corner-bosses, and corner-pieces. Leaves from a manuscript used to reinforce the binding. (Austria, Vienna, late 15th or early 16th century).
