Inscribed 'F Fry' in red crayon on upper pastedown, possibly identifiable with Francis Fry, Quaker businessman and bibliographer, his number 112 [?]. Bought in 1891 or 1892. UkCU,Inc.1.A.2.3[3773]: Provenance: Inscribed 'Conuent[us] S. Petri Salisburge' on leaf [a1] recto of volume 1, i.e. the Benedictine Abbey of St. Peter, Salzburg, Austria, 18th century. Henry Huth and his son Alfred Henry Huth, their leather bookplate, inscribed 'Ex Musaeo Huthii', on upper pastedowns. Described in The Huth library : A catalogue of the printed books, manuscripts, autograph letters, and engravings, collected by Henry Huth, with collations and bibliographical descriptions, 5 vols, London, 1880, vol. 1, pp. 161-162.
