Provenance nameMore, John (sixteenth century) perhaps to be identified with either the Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford (d.1502), who gave two incunables which have survived to his college: Emden, BRUO, 1304, Rhodes, p.415; or of Lincoln's Inn, who owned London, British Library, MS. Royal 17 E.vi; or stationer of Oxford, who sold London, British Library, MS. Royal 2 D.xxv to Edward Lutton before 1542; H. H. E. C[raster], `Notes and News', BQR 4,39 (1923), 54-5, at 54, suggests that this may be Thomas More's father, although this is not recorded in Emden, BRUO.
