Price2.500 Δρ. [Δρ., Δρχ. or ₯, Modern Greek Drachma] Mr Portolos made a purchase in block, but recalls that the incunabulum was paid between 2,000 and 3,000 drachmae. Following the Bretton Woods System, from 1954 to 1973 the Greek currency was pegged at 30 drachmae = 1 USD, resulting in the incunabulum costing, in 1968, approximately 80/85 USD.
