Type de provenanceInscription
NoteApproximate date. Grenuus inscribed the book several times with his name and, most notably, on a2: 'Antonius Grenu[us]. Some inscriptions appear to be pen trials, just with 'Sum Ant.', occasionally in different styles. Interestingly, most of the times these inscriptions appear only at the beginning of a new quire, and they never interact with the text, despite being in its margins.

NoteCooke was Finlay's executor. The collection was to remain in Finlay's residence until the death of his governess, who died in 1897, at which point Cooke entered negotiations to sell, but eventually to donate, the collection to the British School at Athens. Information kindly provided by Amalia G. Kakissis, archivist of the BSA.
