noteIt is highly likely that the book was sold at the Hoskier sale in 1908, though not purchased directly by Gennadius (unlike at least four other Greek grammar incunabula), who owned it only after 1914.

noteGennadius gradually paid and eventually received the books from the Hoskier sale in 1910. Gennadius's pencil inscription on the recto of the first and third flyleaf: accession code, shelfmark (also followed by the Gennadius Library), bibliographical notes and price references. Cut-out from a bookseller/auctioneer's catalogue, possibly added by Gennadius, possibly relating to the same or to other copies. Also contains a note with bibliographical information, glued on the first flyleaf, in black ink, late 19th c., not in Gennadius's hand, but with a pencil inscription on the top (by Gennadius) reads 'belongs in L 55'). Purchased in or soon after 1914 (accession mark is post-1913).
