Copy Features - NoteAll the margin of the first leaf have been cut out, the leaf mounted within a frame of new paper, possibly in the late 16th century, according to the style of two notes, almost completely washed out: 'Ad Usum Cappucc. Avenioniensium' (as reported in BMC) is written on the lower margin, in late humanistic handwriting. Two lines are on the top margin, the first one trimmed out, the second reading 'humanum'.

NoteGrenville's coat of arm is golden tooled at the centre of both covers and the front paste-down. A slip with his notes on the history of the copy has been attached to the front flyleaf. Among other things, Grenville wrote that the book "belonged to the Abbe' La Rive who says that he had several times refused the offer of 60 Louis for it see La Rive Chasse aux Bibliographes, p. 169, 243, 312, 314" where indeed the book is mentioned.
