Binding noteContemporary blind-stamped leather over wooden boards (rebacked, possibly in the 17th century, with ms. leaves used as pastedowns, apparently an inventory of some sort, with names and dates). Marks of two clasps (all clasps, catchplates, and straps not present). Leather partially worn away, exposing wooden boards; top of spine pulled away, exposing headband.

NoteThe dates of ownership are conjectural, and represent early 16th century to late 16th century, between the ownership of Vannius and Hoffmann. Inscription on S6v: "Ad Diuu[m] Augustinu[m] pro Conventu Sancte Dorothee Saphici", but the Sapphic poems are written on dd6v, with the inscription: "Ad diuam Dorotheam Saphicu[m] pro conuentu Sancte Dorothee".
