TitleOeuvres
ImprintParis : Pierre Le Caron, [about 1494]
Imprint[In part for Antoine Vérard],
Format
NotesCIBN dates from the address and types, the state of the printer's device, the initial calligraphed L and the woodcuts.
The device is Vérard's, recut to replace his name by Le Caron's (CIBN)
CIBN describes a variant for the vellum copy in Paris, BN: woodcuts have not been printed in order to give place to illumination
The vellum copy in Paris, BN bears Antoine Vérard's paint device in the place of the scratched device and colophon of Pierre Le Caron. However, CIBN suggests that the fact Vérard presented to Charles VIII a copy on vellum does not mean he is the bookseller.
For contents, see CIBN
