The translation by Laurent de Premierfait follows the Latin translation by Antonio d'Arezzo, with changes by Antoine Vérard, but for the last story, which is an anonymous translation of the Latin version of the Historia Griselidis by Petrarca: see C. Bozzolo, Manuscrits des traductions françaises d'oeuvres de Bocace, XVe siècle, 1973, p. 27, and B. Woledge, Bibliographie des romans et nouvelles en prose française antérieurs à 1500.
