Federigo da Venezia :
Commentum in Apocalypsim (with title: Apocalypsis cum glosis Nicolai de Lyra) [Italian]

[Rome : Printer of the "Apocalypsis', about 1469]. – 4°. – ISTC if00052700

Notes Proctor assigned to an unidentified printer at Naples, BMC, followed by IGI VI, to Rome. Sixtus Riessinger and Ulrich Han have both been suggested as printers. The type-page has the same dimensions as Han's 1468 Cicero. For variants see Hain, Polain(B) and Sheppard. – Entered by Goff and IGI under Johannes Evangelista, and attributed in the book itself to Nicolaus de Lyra, the work is an Italian commentary on the Apocalypse, with lemmata in Latin, by Federigo da Venezia (Veneziano, de Renoldo). Hieronymus :
Epistolae. Ed: Theodorus Lelius. Prelim: Aristeas: De lxx interpretibus. (Tr: Matthias Palmerius)

[Rome : Sixtus Riessinger, not before 1468]. – f°. – ISTC ih00160800

Notes In two parts. On the ascription to Riessinger at Rome, see BMC IV ix-x. On J.L. Sharpe's view that this should be dated about 1466-67 see D.E. Rhodes in The Library, 6th series, 5 (1983), pp. 68-71, where a date of not after 1467 is suggested. Dated not after 1470 in Goff. GW 2330 catalogued the Aristeas as an independent edition, assigning to Riessinger at Naples about 1473-74. See also P. Needham in La Bibliofilia 116 (2014) who shows that Riessinger used the edition of Sweynheym and Pannartz of 1468 as exemplar and therefore dates this work to c. 1470... – Single leaves were distributed to accompany copies of A Leaf from the letters of St. Jerome ... with an historical essay by Jeremy Duquesnay Adams and a bibliographical essay by John L. Sharpe III; edited by Bennett Gilbert (Los Angeles, London, 1981)
